FilmIns.com Review - Entertainment Insurance For Movies and Films

If we go by the website’s title, FilmIns.com insurance would seem like it is your one-stop shop for all types of movie production insurance and movie equipment insurance (technically known as equipment floaters).

I first came across this website after my client asked me for another quote – after going back and forth with him on a movie film insurance quote from another website. I wasn’t particularly impressed with the chair on the banner – a white chair didn’t quite seem to fit a white background. (Now you know I can be quite nitpicky about graphics.)

But I was quite impressed in the other things on the website. For one thing, the people running the website made sure that the quick quote was quick to load – and give a quote. I certainly was able to get the quote that I needed to give my client because of it.

More than its website features, however, I was also impressed that the website goes beyond its name and actually offers a whole spectrum of entertainment insurance. After all, the movies are not the only forms of entertainment that need to be insured. So aside from films, FilmsIn also has insurance programs for special events, festivals and trade shows, sporting events, and concerts and other special productions like plays.

But of course, I still get the impression that FilmIn’s specialty is in offering insurance programs for practically all types of movie production – short-term productions, Dice or Annual Productions and foreign productions. Quite understandable since the quote I got from them was actually for a short film production with 15 shooting days and a budget of only $100,000.

FilmIns is the definite place to go for movie producers, events organizers who put together a whole range of special events, and insurance brokers who broker many types of entertainment insurance.

We first became aware of the filmins.com site from its listing on the insurance states directory.

Filmins also offers some basic policies such as Public Liability Insurance that are offered on other sites as well.
